The Easiest $6 Floral Arrangement

Hi Friends!

Happy Monday & first full day of daylight savings - it feels so good to get home from work while the sun is still shining!  Over the weekend, I got the urge to put together a few floral arrangements, so we stopped by Trader Joe's to pick up some flowers.  Trader Joe's is my go to for flowers - they are fresh and oh so cheap! A few months ago, Taylor and I surprised my grandma with 90 pink roses for her 90th birthday - we made it out of Trader Joe's with 90 roses & 3 bottles of Prosecco for $110.  I don't think you can beat that!

And...drumroll...the floral arrangement I'm sharing today cost a whopping $6!  I wanted an organic, relaxed and feminine arrangement, so I picked up some white stock & eucalyptus for $2.99 each.  I was able to make 6 different arrangements (some very small) and absolutely love how they turned out. The eucalyptus leaves smell great too!

I love using a mix of mismatched vases and pitchers for floral arrangements.  The collection feels more relaxed and the varying heights look lovely sprinkled across a tabletop.

For only $6, I might make floral arranging a weekly bring so much life and brightness into the home.  And Austinites, I'm on the search for a floral arranging workshop or class, if anyone has any recommendations!

Thanks for stopping by,

New Directions

Hello blogging-world,

Taylor and I are excited to announce that we will be launching a YouTube channel focusing on interior design and home renovation projects! Interior design is my passion & something that Taylor and I have always enjoyed working on together.  We've tried our hand at a few projects in our new home & want to share our ideas and tips with the rest of the world.  Our goal is to make design and styling approachable and give affordable tips & inspiration for those looking to turn their house (or apartment or condo or townhouse or RV - anything goes!) into a home.  Stay tuned for more information and an official launch date.  We'll be filming the first episode this coming weekend.  Can't wait!

With the launch of our YouTube channel (name TBD), we'll be moving the design & recipe sections of my blog to a new domain (to match the channel name).  I'm excited for a fresh start and to get going on this passion project of ours.
